"Accordiorgan is a compilation of songs written between 2006 and 2009. The majority of songs represent a songwriting style I would describe as "stream-of-musicness" or simply, "one-offs." Such songs are written and recorded simultaneously, off the top of your head. On some, like tootle heart song broken and foollloool, the instrumentation and singing are written and recorded as one track, at the same time. Others, such as parumpa, begin as a single instrumental track, and are then layered upon by more instrumentation and vocals. Each layer inspires the next. These songs feature many fumbles and much cacophony of sound and rhythm. But in between all the chaos and amateur musical bumbling I hope there is something else, some purity of expression, or just feelings captured at their musical freshest, never to be recreated in quite the same way, but demonstrating the fluidity between consonance and dissonance, talent and ineptitude, being cool and being lame. I guess I like to hear these sort of things juxtaposed. Even this description is fluctuating between cool and lame.

Three of the songs on this album are "one-off collaborations" which could otherwise be called "jams that we recorded". They are little audio snapshots of good times with good folks that I am very proud to have been a part of and I am grateful to have them on this album, even though I have no more claim to them than anyone else involved in making them, and they may one day feature on other BCR projects under different monikers."

(We make no copyright claim on any of the images collaged together onto the limited run of physical copies we actually produced. Accordiorgan was distributed as a free gift to our friends and family!)
